Booking & Refund Policy for Private Yacht Charters ( Exclusive Tailor Made Gulet Tours)

Deposit and Payment; To confirm the reservation, 50% of the total charter price is needed. Down payments can be made by money transfer. This will act as a deposit and the balance can be paid in cash when you embark. This will be paid to our Koray Yachting official, who will be present when you embark on board.

 

Change of Dates; You can change the dates of your cruise, only if the boat is available for the requested dates. In this case the down payment will be valid. Notice of a request for date change, must be received by Koray Yachting in writing, via e-mail.

 

Cancellations and Refunds; You can totally cancel your trip by any reason. An administration fee will aply for cancellations. Please check the list below. Notice of a request for a cancellation, must be received by Koray Yachting in writing, via e-mail.

Our refund policy on cancellation for private bookings is as follows;

 

*90 days prior to your departure: 15% of the deposit will be funded as an administration fee; the rest of the deposit will be refunded.

*Less than 89-60 days prior to departure: 35% of the deposit will be funded as an administration fee; the rest of the deposit will be refunded.

*Less than 59 days prior to your departure, the deposit will not be refunded.

Deposit and Payment; To secure your reservation, a deposit of 50% of the charter fee per person is required within seven days of booking. Final payment is required 30 days prior to departure. All payments can be made by money transfer. All reservations are subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the due date.

 

Change of Dates; You can change the dates of your cruise, only if the boat and tour has availability for the requested dates. In this case the down payment will be valid. Notice of a request for date change, must be received by Koray Yachting in writing, via e-mail.

*60 or more days prior to your departure: 25% of cruise fare will be funded and rest will be refunded.

*59 to 30 days prior to your departure: 50% of cruise fare will be funded and rest will be refunded.

*30 or less days prior to your departure: 100% of cruise fare will be funded as a administration fee.

Booking & Payments & Change of Dates & Cancellation & Refunds

 

1- Once your choice Exclusive Private yacht or cabin charter tour has been made, we will place an option for your dates depending on the availability of your choice. In this way, we keep your Private yacht/cabin on hold until you are ready to make the deposit payment.

2- Once you are ready to proceed with the booking, we will send you the charter agreement & the invoice. We will then expect you to return your signed copy of the charter agreement together with a remittance slip from your bank to say that the deposit funds are on the way. Once the agreement is signed, the down payment has to be done within one week (7 days) In case of non payment or delayed payment, Koray Yachting is authorised to cancel the agreement. The booking is considered confirmed, once the deposit of the charter fee has been received. And your Private Yacht/cabin for the chosen dates is reserved for you. On private charters; the rest of the payment will be done on board in cash at your embarkation day. On cabin charters; full payment must be done 30 days prior to your departure.

3- Refunds will normally be made to the booking party. Koray Yachting can only be responsible for refunding amounts actually received. No refunds will be made to passengers who do not board the boat or passengers who cancel after the start of the cruise. We recommend the purchase of travel insurance.

Boat Substitution

Koray Yachting may operate the cruise program with another boat as long as this boat is of the same or higher standard. Passengers offered a suitable alternative cruise program or boat are not entitled to any refund.

Cruise Interruption

Koray Yachting may for any reason whatsoever cancel any cruise at any time for reasons of force majeure.

During the cruise should the boat sustain any breakdown in machinery, or be disabled by fire, grounding or collision disrupting the cruise itinerary for more than 48 hours, and if no substitute boat or arrangement is offered, passengers will be entitled to a refund proportional to the cruise days not operated. No further claims will be accepted. It is further recognized that Koray Yachting is a Turkish Company and it is agreed between Koray Yachting and contractual party that the interpretation of the terms and conditions will be resolved solely according to the Turkish Laws in Turkish Courts.

Responsibilities

Koray Yachting is responsible for making all the arrangements for everything specified in the services and itineraries.

Koray Yachting liability and responsibility does not extend beyond the boat; any arrangements made by or for passengers either before boarding or when disembarking are at the passenger’s own risk. Koray Yachting does not own or control any ground transportation or hotels. As a convenience to our passengers, Koray Yachting may sell tickets for land excursions or arrange other services which are operated by independent contractors, but shall not be responsible in any way whatsoever for any damage, loss, injury or death arising.

Nevertheless, all of the service provided in the boat bears Koray Yachting guarantee and responsibility for quality service, which we provide to all of our customers with.

All travel documents issued by Koray Yachting, in written paraphernalia or to the customer, are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the laws of Turkey.

Koray Yachting preserves the right to cancel the whole tour without a refund, once the capacity of the passengers excess the booking and the capacity of the boat itself.

Insurance:

All boats are under fully comprehensive and third party insurances. The insurance covers even the medical expenses in case of injury on board during the cruise and the cost of personal belongings in case of accidents that may occur while at sea. However, the insurance does not cover the accidents or injuries etc. that may occur beyond the boat, thus we do advise you to have your own personal travel, health, accident, cancellation, luggage and trip-interruption insurance.

Force Majeure:

* We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or expense resulting from war or terrorist activities, threatened or actual, civil unrest, industrial action, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, harbour & airport regulations and closure, unforeseen alterations to public transport schedules, rescheduling of aircrafts, boats, or any type of transportation means or any other event outside our control which either delays or extends the holiday arrangements.

* We do not accept any responsibility for any client who contravenes any law or regulation of any of the countries visited while on the tour.

Complaints:

During the tour should any complaints arise on board please report them to your Captain right away so that he can contact the representative of yours whom you met at the briefing at embarkation from Koray Yachting.

Any complaints must be made in writing directly to Koray Yachting Head Office Customer Services, which should be received by Koray Yachting within 21 days of completing the tour the complaint is regarding. Complaints that are received by the company 21 days after the end of cruise are not acknowledged. Please also ensure that your personal guest questionnaire is filled and submitted to our colleague. We welcome all your suggestions for improvements as well as your feedback on our cruise operation and on our crew.

Crew Gratuity:

A crew gratuity is both customary and discretionary. 5% of the base charter fee is usually the norm depending totally on your discretion. It is usually given to the captain at the end of the charter and divided equally among the crew members. You do not have to give a tip, it depends on you. 

Photos and Marketing:

* Passenger consents to Koray Yachting using images taken of the passenger during the tour for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. The passenger grants Koray Yachting a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.
